its thurs.. and still no period?

should i be worried? i mean i know im not prego but shouldnt i have a period by now?!? i had cramping but no more.... this is odd and my body has been acting awfly psycho...

    its a bit verbose but this is a hairy issue.

    I seriously believe that Endo and PCOS is the complication of hypothyroidism. I've cited the research and websites all on this page.

    Bottom line, hypothyroidism (that causes weight gain) causes estrogen dominance that causes both cysts and inflammatory issues. :-)

    It doesn't help that we have BPA's in our plastics, hormones in our foods and iodine blockers everywhere (ie. bromide in bread, fluoride/perchlorates in our tap). The people with thyroid issues have the worst case of PCOS. Sometimes inflammatory issues cause the body to actually attack the thyroid, that's where the worst case of PCOS comes from.

    Also look at this, women who have low metabolism (anorexics and severely obese women) don't have their periods. When they take iodine supplements, their periods show up.

    So what I've been trying is of course iodine supplements (aiming at 10 mg/day, the Japanese eat 12.5 mg/day on average)- I'm also working with an anti-inflammatory diet. www.level1diet.com is a good way to start, others went on a low GI diet and of course the raw food diet is up for consideration since it combats inflammation.

    PCOS can also be treated as an inflammatory disorder, like autoimmune disease. Basically it works like this, the cells are oxidated-they rust. It's caused by mutated proteins (overcooked proteins, common in fast food and prepackaged/processed foods) and of course SUGAR! Since estrogen dominance causes insulin resistance, it's probable that PCOS victims have extra glucose in their blood which, in addition to the mutated proteins causes that oxidation. That's what inflammation is. The good news is that people with auto-immune disorders ie. rhumatoid arthritis have relieved their symptoms through diet. Basically avoiding processed foods, over cooked foods, stewing or steaming instead of frying, eating up Vit D (get your vitamins, they're important), etc. I have a friend with rhumatoid arthritis who told me that fixing her diet worked better than the strong drugs the doctors prescribed for her. And there are no side effects. Which we don't want since we're already suffering enough with the cramps.

    OF course I'm avoiding high fructose corn syrup (to prevent diabetes II, high LDL and high triglycerides), bromide, fluoride and percholates (iodine blockers that cause hypothyroidism). People think I went off the deep end, no these cramps are a real problem.

    Also, I can't take the pill because i got adverse effects from them. So I've been using a bio-identical (GENTLE) progesterone cream to combat estrogen dominance (and lower the prostaglandins that cause cramps). It seems to help. The birth control pill gave me migraines. Another trick (this really works), get up on your knees and elbows, then tilt your head down between your arms and tilt your pelvis up. it's supposed to relieve the pressure on the uterus.
